Yeomen Lions Showing Great Potential -
Message From Brooke Hilditch
Hi Yeomen Lions
I just wanted to congratulate everyone on both sides yesterday that showed much improvement and lots of potential for a great season.
The 2nds side came out storming, scoring the first try of the game. They showed an improvement in defence beside breakdowns (A, B, C's) and showed lots of great offensive threat with offloads and keeping the ball alive.
The 1st side mimicked the 2nds and started off storming with a try within 5 minutes of kick-off, however it didn't stop there. Four unanswered tries in the first half. The team played as a team with great set piece from the forwards and great running and ball movement from the backs. The Saracens stepped it up in the second half but we were able to hold on to our win. GREAT WORK LADIES.
I have to say that is was the best club game I have played in for a couple of years. We all seemed to be on the same page and played with heart. (ps - the Yeomen have not beat the Saracens in two years)
Let's keep the momentum going and continue to improve.
See you all at practice.
Brooke
